Candidate must have great attention to detail and handle sitting for a long period of time

Specific Skills
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
• Load and unload goods; ensure all cargo is safe and secure
• Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness; inspect all aspects of vehicle
• Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs, preventative maintenance
• Maintain log book for each trip
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
• Record and perform pre-trip and post-trip rounds
• Perform all preventive maintenance
